Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main Street N. Mapleton, Minnesota 56065 507-524-3616 Gwen G. (Will) McGregor, age 95 of Mapleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Mapleton Community Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at the United Church of Mapleton with Rev. Ashley Whitaker, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Memorials are preferred to the United Church of Mapleton or the Heather Curling Club. Gwen was born on March 9, 1919 to Robert and Elsie (Atcherson) Will in Mapleton. After graduating from Mapleton High School, Gwen attended Macalester College in St. Paul. Gwen was united in marriage to Bruce McGregor on August 10, 1940 at her parent's home. Together they were blessed with 4 children. She was a very active member of the United Church of Mapleton and Heather Curling Club. Gwen was active in the Eastern Star, and was a State Officer. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gwen is survived by her children, Gayle, Bruce, and Will (Dawn) McGregor; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Will; and many nieces and nephews. Gwen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce in 1999; daughter, Bonnie Jean; and sister, Shirley Runke. Gwen's family would like to send special thanks to the staff of the Mapleton Community Home for their wonderful care over the years.
