Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Mary Lorraine Marso, age 86, of Mankato, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Laurel's Peak in Mankato with her children by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will continue one hour before service at the church on Friday. Burial will in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Mary was born June 24, 1928, to John Samuel and Mildred (Foley) Germo in Mankato. She graduated from Pemberton High School in 1946 and then from Mankato State Teacher's College. She taught school in Tracy, Belle Plaine, and Lake Crystal. Mary was united in marriage to William F. Marso on June 19, 1954. While raising her children, she was a substitute teacher. Mary enjoyed playing cards, dancing, home projects, cooking and baking, and most of all spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her three children, Ann Marso of Prior Lake, Joseph (Cindy) Marso of Shorewood, and Margaret (Dean) Rengstorf of Mankato; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew Anderson, Samuel, Bridgette, and Jayne Marso, Mary (Ben) Kaus and Peter Rengstorf; great-grandson, Charles William Kaus; sister-in-law, Clarice Germo of Mapleton; two brothers-in-law, John (Rosemarie) Marso of Mankato and Thomas Marso of Minneapolis; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; son, James; two sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Borchert and Dorothy (Thomas) Dunn; and brother, John Germo.
