Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, Minnesota 56003 507-388-2288 Clifford "Cliff" Compton, age 77, of Mapleton, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Northview~North Mankato Mortuary with Chaplain Gary Creech officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at Northview and will continue one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Cliff was born on September 4, 1937 in Mankato to Charles and Agnes (Glackler) Compton. He attended school in Mankato. Cliff was united in marriage to Sylvia Eccles and they were later divorced. Over the years Cliff worked for Kleist Construction, Kelly Sign Company, and was a truck driver for MRCI. He was also a deejay for KTOE Radio in his earlier years and a bartender at the Oleander. He was a police and sheriff reserve officer. Cliff owned and operated MCB Tire and Salvage in Mankato and Fairmont for several years. Cliff was an avid bowler, fisherman, and card player. He was also a photographer and a flag man for the races. Cliff is survived by his three daughters, Mary Dmytrasz, Connie Oeffler, and Bonnie Nelson; sons-in-law, David Dmytrasz, Dan Oeffler, and Jim Nelson; grandchildren, DeAnna (Chad) Petersen, Diane (Bruce) Miller, Joe (Hope) Dmytrasz, Daniel (June) Dmytrasz, Jessica (Doug) Loewe, Michael Oeffler (KTLynn Smallwood), Justin (Tiffany) Oeffler, Ashley Landrum, David (Alyssa) Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Jared Nelson, and Jon Nelson; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Katie, Dawson, Tyler, Samantha, Oliviah, Emmah, Norah, Isabella, Duncan, Vinnie, Aayden, and Amara Agnes; and his significant other, Linda Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Aufderhar and brother, Patrick Aufderhar.
