Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 Joanne L. Kenyon, age 72 of Mankato, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Heiden, officiating. A visitation will be one hour before the service at church. Private family burial in Kasota Hill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Hosanna Lutheran Church or Can Do Canines. Joanne was born February 12, 1942 to Woodrow and Louise (Marquardt) Hansen in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1960, and later went on to receive LPN training. Joanne was united in marriage to Harold Kenyon on June 19, 1964 in Mankato. She worked for the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center until her retirement in June 2000. Joanne was an active member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, gardening, and sewing. Joanne is survived by her children, Scott Kenyon, David (Danae Stewart) Kenyon, Kandy (Dennis) Kleinow, and Barb (Stan) Thomas; grandchildren, Tracey and Jason Graves, Andrea and Brandon Kenyon, Melanie (Tom) Johnson and Nicole, Lindsey, Corey, and MacKenzie Kleinow; brothers, Boyd (Carol) Hansen, Larry Hansen, Pete (Sharon) Hansen, and Greg Hansen; sister, Dee (George) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Woodrow and Louise Hansen; grandson, Grant; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn (Cile) Hansen. Joanne's family would like to send special thanks to Can Do Canines for her service dog, Ferris.
