Irene A. Seppmann Peterson, age 92, of Mankato, former owner of "Cat N' Fiddle Supper Club", died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Sunrise Cottages in Mankato. Funeral Service Celebrating Irene's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. Irene was born May 4, 1916 to Alfred B. and Martha (Heiser) Seppmann in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School and Beauty School. Irene owned and operated beauty shops in Mankato and New Ulm. She and Walt Fayn had "Famous Floats", building parade floats in the 1950's and 60's. They built the "Cat N' Fiddle Supper Club" in 1957 and added a dinner theatre in 1972. Irene married James O. Peterson on June 7, 1981 at the Cat N' Fiddle Dinner Theatre. He died on May 29, 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran in Mankato. Blessed be her memory. Irene is survived by a brother, Lyle (Ginger) Seppman of rural Mankato; sister, Marilyn Halverson of River Falls, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Arline "Sweetie" Seppmann of rural Mankato, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2000; two sisters, Phyllis Faust and Ardis Sturdy; brother, Al Seppmann; brother-in-law, Adolf Halverson.
