LeRoy O Lundin

LeRoy Oscar Lundin, age 87, of Mankato died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2008 at Hilltop United Methodist Church, Mankato with Rev. Randy Koppen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Friday. Memorials may be given to Hilltop United Methodist Church or donor's choice.

LeRoy was born November 17, 1920 to Adolf H. and Jenny E. (Gustafson) Lundin in Mankato.
He graduated from Mankato High School and Mankato Commercial College. LeRoy served his country with the U.S. Navy Seabees during WWII in the Pacific Theatre building airfields. He was united in marriage to Lorraine M. Revier on September 29, 1945 in Mankato. After their marriage they moved to New York State where LeRoy did construction. They returned to Mankato in 1973 and LeRoy was a foreman for Southern Minnesota Construction until his retirement. LeRoy was a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church and he enjoyed golfing, bowling, singing, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two sons, LeRoy R. "Skip" (Patricia) Lundin of Knoxville, TN, Larry R. (Barbara) Lundin of Kingston, MA; daughter, Lana R. (Daniel) Held of Elysian; seven grandchildren, Nathan Lundin, Adam (Tina) Lundin, Jamie Held, Kevin Held, Eric Lundin, Matthew Lundin, and Sarah Lundin; great-grandson, Carter Lundin; sister, Leona E. (Cecil) Fisk of Charlestown, N.H.; sister-in-law, Eileen Strobel of Mankato; brother-in-law, Roger (Grace) Revier of Delano; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert E. and Gordon A. Lundin.
