Robert C. "Bobby" Pikus, age 60 of Griffith, IN died on Tuesday April 15, 2008.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday April 22, 2008 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. Karl Voelker S.J. and Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be held from 9 " 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Robert was born on April 29, 1947 to Joseph and Felizia Pikus in Washburn, WI. He served in the Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. Bobby married Kathleen Wandersee in Mankato on August 5, 1972. He worked 25 years for McCrory's in Mankato, Detroit, and East Chicago, Indiana and has been employed with Great American Group for the past 10 years.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Kristina (Travis) Davis of California, Suzanne Thornton of Indiana, one son Phillip (Katy) of Indiana. Two grandchildren, Austin Thornton and Adison Pikus; three brothers, John (Marlys) Lukaskawcez, Anthony (Rose) Pikus, Joseph (Donna) Pikus; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Wandersee; uncle, Jim (Nancy) Swiston; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Carolyn), Steven (Barb), Jim (Carol), Curt, Miles (Mary Kay) Wandersee, Richard Holman; sisters-in-law, Judy (Ed) Jobe and Juleen (Tom) Aydt; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances Holman; father-in-law, Robert Wandersee; and niece, Juliah Wandersee.
