Donald E Stenerson

Donald Ervin Stenerson, age 81, of Avon, Indiana, died April 14, 2008 at the Village of Avon Skilled Care Facility.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Lake Crystal Mortuary with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the mortuary. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Donald was born April 17, 1926 to Orvie and Rosa (Hohenstein) Stenerson in Lake Crystal, MN. Donald graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944-46. Donald married Grace Ann Quandt in Medford, Oregon on December 4, 1948.

Donald attended Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated from the St. Louis School of Aeronautics in 1949. Donald was employed for many years by North American Rockwell and was named National Manager of the Year in 1972.

Donald is survived by his sister, Evelyn (Stenerson) Jenkinson; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace in 2005; and a younger sister, Shirley.
