Beulah Elsie Good, age 95, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Vernon Center with Rev. Tim Biren officiating. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Madison, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Lake Crystal Mortuary with a 4 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour before service at church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to Luther Memorial Home.
Beulah was born December 5, 1912 to Harry and Mary (Myers) Butson in Currie, MN. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1931. She was united in marriage to Edmund W. Good in 1933 in Vernon Center. They farmed near Vernon Center and in 1954 moved to Madison, MN where they farmed. Edmund died on February 21, 1965. After Edmund's death, Beulah worked for Werpy's Bakery and the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison before returning to Vernon Center in 1970. She then worked at the Mapleton Community Home until her retirement. Beulah was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and its Rosary society. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, making afghans for her family, and being outdoors.
Beulah is survived by her four children, Ivalea (Tony) Wendlandt of Garden City, Sharry Leslie of Gary, S.D., Tom (Annette) Good of Staples, Tim (Judy) Good of Kennewick, WA; twenty two grandchildren; forty nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Pete (Ivalea) Butson, Mary Glaubitz all of Lake Crystal, Millie Young of Madison; two sisters-in-law, Pat Butson of Kissimmee, FL, Joanne Butson of Lake Crystal; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmund; two grandchildren, David Fleming and Jon Leslie; two sons-in-law, James Fleming and Ron Leslie; nine siblings.
