Marian Christine (MacDonald) Rodgers

Marian Rodgers, age 88, of Eagle Lake, died Sunday evening, March 23, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Lake Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Eagle Lake Church of Christ or donor's choice.

Marian was born September 26, 1919 in St. Johnsburg, Vermont to Daniel and Jennie (Bradley) MacDonald. Marian attended the New Salem Academy in Massachusetts. On June 30, 1941, she was united in marriage to Stanley E. "Bob" Rodgers, Jr. They raised two children, Regina and Paul. In 1959, they moved to Mankato. Marian was a faithful member of Eagle Lake Church of Christ.

Marian is survived by her children, Regina (Duane "Duey") Hicks of Rosemount, Paul (Rene) Rodgers of Mankato; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her church family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 1991.
