Jeffrey Mark Bielen, age 48, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at his Mankato residence.
There will be a time for friends and family to gather from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary, which will be followed by a service at 6 p.m. with Rev. Del Begalka officiating. Memorials may be given to Blue Earth and Nicollet County Humane Society.
Jeffrey was born September 7, 1959 to Richard and Clara Jean (Sexe) Bielen in Mankato. He was a 1979 Mankato West High School graduate. He was employed with Pepsi in Mankato prior to entering the US Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he was employed with Conn and Selmer Industries for over 20 years. He returned to Mankato in 2005 and was employed with Johnson Outdoors working in the Minnkota Operations division. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and his pets.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Clara Jean (Jerry) Leiferman of Mankato; four siblings, Robert Bielen of Abilene, TX, Lori Bielen of Hemet, Ca, Bill Bielen (special friend, Sheila Westphal) of Madison Lake, Michele (Nick) Heisler of Hudson, WI; brother-in-law, Dennis "J.B." (Deb) Johnson of Mankato; two nieces; three nephews; one grandniece; many aunts, uncles, and other family members. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; a brother, Brent "Richard" Bielen; and a sister, Belinda "Binzer" Johnson.
