Arnold Tiefel

Rev. Arnold Tiefel age 92 of Lake Crystal died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.



Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. A graveside committal will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Cemetery immediately followed by a memorial service at St. John Lutheran Church all in Milwaukee, WI. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Endowment Fund, Immanuel Lutheran Church or College Building Fund, or to an organization of the donor's choice.



Rev. Tiefel was a Lutheran pastor in various Michigan and Wisconsin communities for over 50 years.



Rev. Tiefel is survived by his wife, Erma Tiefel of Lake Crystal; son, James (Brenda) Tiefel of Mequon, WI; daughter, Paula (Alan) Sitzman of De Pere, WI; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Virginia) Tiefel of Eau Claire, WI, George (Marion) Tiefel of South Haven, MI; sister, Emma Wenzel of Baraboo, WI; seven step-children and their families, Pastor Daniel (Barbara) Fleischer of Corpus Christi, TX, Pastor Paul (Laila) Fleischer of Cheyenne, WY, Pete Fleischer of Minneapolis, Ruth (Karl) Mueller of Mankato, Naomi (Paul) Pfeiffer of Lake Crystal, Mary (Mike) Thom of Watertown, WI, and Pastor Thomas Schuetze of Coloma, MI; and many other relatives and friends.



Rev. Tiefel was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Grete Tiefel; two brothers, Victor and Fred; and a sister, Gertrude.
