Audrey Jones

Audrey T. Jones, age 78, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be held at from 4-7 p.m., Monday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Tuesday. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato.
Audrey was born May 24, 1929 to Ira Jacob and Mary Martha (Mimetz) Hensel in North Mankato, MN. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy. She was united in marriage to John F. "Jack" Jones Jr., on August 7, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato. Audrey worked at Hillcrest and Mankato House Health Care Centers as activities director retiring in 1985. She was also on the patient review board at the St. Peter Security Hospital for over 20 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its church circle. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed oil painting, bowling, gardening, cooking, antiquing, bird watching, and sewing.
Audrey is survived by five children, Gail (J.C.) Jones of Mankato, Nancy (Paul) Watson of Columbia Falls, MT, Chuck (Michelle) Jones of Brownton, Cari White of San Clemente, CA, and Dan (Mary) Jones of Brooklyn Park; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and surrogate children.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; two daughters, Patty and Margaret Mary.
