Florence Elizabeth (Coleman) Juliar, age 105, of Fountain Hills, AZ, died Friday, February 29, 2008 in Fountain Hills.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at St. John's Cemetery in St. Clair, with Rev. Randy Koppen officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to ISJ Hospice, 1400 Madison Avenue, Mankato, MN 56001.
Florence was born on February 14, 1903 in Ashton, South Dakota. She was the daughter of George and Grace Coleman. Growing up, Florence and her family lived in Eagle Grove, IA. They later moved to Hollywood, CA, where she was friends with the wife of Charlie Chaplin. Florence met her husband, Nicolas Juliar while she was working for Mayo Brothers in Rochester, MN, as a secretary. Florence and Nick invited her mother, Grace to live with them in St. Clair, MN, where Nick practiced law. For the past several years Florence has lived at Fountain View Village in Fountain Hills, AZ, where she was close to a niece and nephew. She had a bright and loving spirit and was very active, never missing the daily work-out schedule. Everyone who met her and worked with her loved her and will miss her sweet smile. She had just celebrated her 105th birthday and was a special lady to all who knew her.
Florence is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nick; and three younger siblings: brother, Murray Coleman and sisters, Maxine Nielsen Moore and Lenna Lucile Coover.
