Bob Hill

Robert "Bob" Lewis Hill, age 75, owner of Bob Hill Piano Tuning and Repair, died at home on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in North Mankato. Bob had suffered from heart problems for the last six years.
There will be a memorial visitation from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary. A private family prayer service will be held with Rev. Mary Iverson officiating.
Bob was born July 20, 1932 to Grant and Thelma (Bauer) Hill in Battle Creek, MI. He graduated from high school in Battle Creek and went on to earn his CPA degree and opened accounting businesses in Battle Creek and Lansing, MI. He married Peggy Thisius Hager on July 29, 1982 in North Mankato. Bob started his piano tuning and repair business in 1981 and thoroughly enjoyed all his loyal customers over the years. When he finished tuning a piano and played a little "Boogie Woogie" to check things out, his customers always loved it.
Bob loved to paint and received several awards for his art work. He also loved to play the piano and made four cd's of his arrangements of favorite tunes. He loved to sit on the couch and watch his birds feed on the back deck. Time spent with his family was the happiest. Bob and Peggy loved to travel and took many wonderful trips together.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy; his son, Grant Hill of Vancouver, B.C.; five children and eleven grandchildren from his marriage to Peggy: Laurie and Lanny Lamb, Gregory, Jesse, and Nicholas of Henderson, NV; Terri and Bruce Pittman and Josh, Callie, Jessica, Caleb and Carissa of Hartselle, AL; Natalie and Thor Teigum and Cara and Christian of Madelia; John Hager of Eagle Lake; Jim and Sadie Duerr and Dahlton of Shakopee; his mother-in-law, Adeline Thisius of St. Peter; and many great nieces and nephews.
