Kathryn A Pritchard

Kathryn Ann Pritchard, age 94, of Lake Crystal, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Lake Crystal Mortuary with Rev. Randal Lubbers officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Kathryn was born March 29, 1913 to Tiede and Dena (Rysach) Mennenga in Applington, Iowa. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1931. She was united in marriage to William E. Pritchard and they were later divorced. Kathryn managed the Lake Crystal Municipal Liquor Store and was employed by Mankato State College as a custodian until her retirement in 1976. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, crossword puzzles, and canning.

Kathryn is survived by two sons; Ted Pritchard and wife, Vicki of Lake Crystal, and Hugh Pritchard of Lake Crystal; son-in-law, Ed (Judy) Ellanson of rural Mankato; daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Pritchard of New Iberia, Louisiana, ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter, Dene Ellanson in 2003; son, William B. Pritchard in 2007; ten brothers and sisters.
