Colleen Ann Bleasdell, age 70, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Immanuel " St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Mankato Mortuary, with a 6:45 prayer service. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice, Mankato Lutheran Home, or to the donor's choice.
Colleen was born June 30, 1937 in Fort Dodge, IA. She was the daughter of James and LeVerne (Petersen) Campbell. Colleen was a 1955 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Fort Dodge. She received training as a lab technician at St. Mary's Hospital in Algona, IA. Colleen married Bill Bleasdell and they later divorced. Over the years she was employed as a lab technician at Mankato Clinic, was a leasing agent at Highland Hills, and was a hostess at the North Mankato Garden Inn. Colleen was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed playing bridge, boating, reading, and spending time with her friends and grandchildren.
Colleen is survived by her two daughters, Kyle (Jim) Bleasdell-Klungness of Eden Prairie and Beth (Greg) Pooley of Madison Lake; three grandchildren, Nik, Brian, and Taylor; grand dog, "Oscar", four siblings, Edward (Bonnie) Campbell of Des Moines, IA, Christine (Ken) Lantis of Salt Lake City, UT, Julie (Larry) Jordan of Panora, IA, and Lisa Brown of Fort Dodge, IA; brother-in-law, Eldon Mayo of Schaumburg, IL; aunt, Pauline Doty of Salem, OR; also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy.
