Mildred L Solt

Mildred Lorraine Solt, age 91, of Mankato, died February 10, 2008 peacefully at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Grace Baptist Church in Mankato with Pastor John Michel, Pastor Gus Gonnerman, and Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Lone Pine Cemetery near Morrill, MN at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

Born in Ravina, South Dakota on October 4, 1916, she was the daughter of Michael and Fern (Cleveland) Connelly. Lorraine married, Lyle Eugene Solt on November 30, 1935 in Greene, IA. They farmed near Ramey, MN until 1951. Lorraine cleaned in private homes and was the custodian at Grace Baptist Church in Mankato for many years until her retirement in 1986. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family and at her Longville cabin property.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Eugene (Jeanne) of No. Ft. Myers, FL, Margene of Mankato, and Dale (Kathleen) of Reading, MN; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack (Patricia) Connelly of Madison Lake, Gerald (Nedra) Connelly of Fairmont; three sisters, Marguerite Burns of Mankato, Adeline Hansen of Kasota, and Joanne (Besell) Mathistad of Sioux City, IA; one brother-in-law, Calvin (Mary) Solt of Hamilton, MT; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; infant son, Robert; her parents; brother, Donald Connelly; two sisters, Lorene Redmond and Dorothy Nelson.
