Stephanie R Gilberts

Stephanie R. Gilberts, age 57, of Mankato died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Paul D. Nolting, officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Tuesday.

Stephanie was born January 12, 1951 to Harold and Ruth M. (Schauer) Gilberts in Mankato. She graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School in 1969. She had been employed as an elementary special education assistant with District 77 and at Mankato West High School before retiring in the spring of 2002 due to her health. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato. Stephanie enjoyed painting, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie is survived by two children, Ben Krohling of Minneapolis; Emily Krohling and fianc", Nathan Maas of Owatonna; two granddaughters, Sabella and Sofia Maas; sister, Mary Wornson of Chandler, AZ; sister-in-law, Kristi Gilberts; brother-in-law, Doug Berghorst both of Mankato; nieces and nephews.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathleen Berghorst; brother, Keith Gilberts.
