Agnes Pauline Solli, age 99, of Mankato, was called to her home to be with her Saviour on February 6, 2008 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2008 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Mankato with Revs. John Petersen and Matthew Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran College or Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Agnes was born October 18, 1908 to Amelia and Lewis Olson in Duncombe, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She graduated from Bode Iowa High School in 1926 and Bethany Lutheran College in 1930, where she met and later married Gerhard "Gig" Solli on July 8, 1934 in rural Livermore, Iowa. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Mankato for 74 years.
Agnes is survived by her four daughters, Ruth MacLeod of Plymouth, Marian Wilinski and her husband Bruno of Mankato, Carol Anderson and her husband Dale of Knoxville, TN, Kathy Petersen and her husband Steve of North Mankato; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Hanselman of Luverne, IA, Myrtle Hanselman of Algona, IA, and Mable DeGrood and husband Robert of Algona, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerhard in 2002; daughter, Vivian Elizabeth; two brothers, Henry and Earl Olson; and four sisters, Olive Olson, Lila Nelson, Rhoda Brockman, and Aleda Hanselman.
