Fredora E.(Hoffman) Schultz, age 89 of Mankato, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Immanuel" St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4 " 8 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial.
Fredora was born March 24, 1918 to John and Laura (Larsen) Lilienkamp in Mankato. She attended Normal School in Mankato thru the 11th grade when she left to care for her younger brothers and sisters due to the death of her Mother. Fredora was united in marriage to Lawrence Hoffman on May 17, 1936 in Mankato. He died in 1980. She married Paul Schultz on February 6, 1982 in Mankato. He died in 1998.
Fredora worked 31 years for Midtex, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the ladies aid, AFLCIOIUE Union (Electrical), a chief steward of the union, and the Summit Center. She enjoyed ceramics, writing, card playing, geneology, gardening, family and friends.
Fredora is survived by two sons, Larry (Bonita) Hoffman of Green Bay, WI, James (Barbara) Hoffman of Mankato; three daughters, Janet Haugen of White Bear Lake, Nancy (Lee Baringer) Johnson of North Mankato, Jean (Robert) Blanck of Rapidan; 16 grandchildren; Randy (Tammi) Haugen, Brian (Traci) Haugen, Mark (Gayle) Hoffman, Renae Teske, Grant (Michele) Johnson, Heather Johnson, Tim (Krista) Hoffman, Todd (Kay) Hoffman, Terry (Beth) Hoffman, Micheal (Kimberly) Blanck, Jeff (Becky) Blanck, Rodney (Jodi) Blanck, Tracy (Blanck) Stenzel, (Brian Eehoff), Melinda (Blanck) Eggert; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; step-children; two sisters, Doloris (Einar) Granaas of Minneapolis, MN, Marian Klaseus of Plymouth, MN; sister-in-law Betty Lilienkamp of Apple Valley, MN; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Hoffman and Paul Schultz; two brothers, Victor Lilienkamp, and Jack (Stella) Lilienkamp; son-in-law, Marley Haugen; grandchildren, Debra (Haugen) Edelbrock, and David Hoffman; three great-grandchildren, Ellen Hoffman, Nicolas Eggert, and Kalley Johnson.
