Lois Helen Hager

Lois Helen Hager, age 77, of Mankato, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at her home.

Funeral service will be 12 noon Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Clair. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Helen was born on January 11, 1931 to Ernest & Lottie (Hammack) McQuitty on the family farm between Chandler and Davenport, OK. In her late teens, the family moved to Wichita Kansas, where Helen graduated from Wichita East High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Thomas Hager on September 11, 1956 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Oklahoma City, OK. The marriage resulted in three sons, Tom, Jr., Logan, and Jerry. The family resided in the S. Western states until Tom retired from the Marine Corps in 1972. They then relocated to Mankato, where they have resided since.

Helen's greatest joys: being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She also enjoyed bowling, flower and vegetable gardening, and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors included her husband Tom, along with three sons and their wives; Tom and Robyn of Eagle Lake, Logan and Terri and their daughters Ariel and Laura of Mankato, and Jerry and Jill and their children Travis and Courtney of Good Thunder. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Sally McQuitty and Lynn McQuitty, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
