Christopher Robert Rysavy, age 33, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Chris was born on March 19, 1979, in Mankato. He was the son of Renee (Rysavy) Schweim and step-father, Kenneth Schweim. Chris was a 1997 graduate of Mankato East High School. He was united in marriage to Lauren Kassuelke on April 12, 2008, in Mankato. They later divorced. Chris was employed with Honeymead, Con Agra, Condux, and was a security counselor at the St. Peter State Hospital. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and especially spending time with his son.

Chris is survived by his son, Tanner Rysavy of North Mankato; mother, Renee (Kenneth) Schweim of Madison Lake; maternal grandfather, Victor Rysavy of Owatonna; one aunt, Deb (Wayne) Lien of Waseca; two uncles, Loren (Kathy) Rysavy of Owatonna and Randal (Cindy) Rysavy of Kasson; and eight cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rita Rysavy.
