Emlyn J. "Emy" Hartwig, age 67, of North Mankato, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.

Emy was born on September 20, 1944, in Breckenridge to Gilbert and Helen (Severtson) Bremer. She was a 1962 graduate of Tintah High School and attended nursing school in North Mankato. Emy was employed with Carlson Craft for many years and retired in 2006. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Emy enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee. She had many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Emy is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Noble of Minneapolis and Kelly (Bo) Higgins of Terre Haute, IN; five grandchildren, Georgia, Anna, and Nick Noble, Elizabeth and Mikey Higgins; one sister, Sharon Braun of Nashua; one sister-in-law, Peggy Bremer of Moorhead; two nephews, Bob Braun and Nate Bremer; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vance.
