Dwile T. Kwasniewski, Sr., 73, of rural New Ulm, MN died January 5, 2012, at Hospice of Arizona's Greenfield House in Mesa, AZ.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., May 19, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, MN. A time of visitation will follow the service. Private graveside service for the family will be at Minneopa Cemetery, Mankato, MN.

Mr. Kwasniewski was born August 31, 1938, in Webster, SD, to Thomas and Lucy (Gruba) Kwasniewski. He graduated from Webster High School in 1956. He attended South Dakota State University 1956-1957. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He was a graduate of Mankato State College. He married Mary Stenzel in 1961. He later married Dorothy Yarger in 1984.

He worked as a draftsman for Honeywell, Hubbard Milling, Kato Engineering, and taught Refrigeration and Heating at South Central Technical College, North Mankato, MN, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, MN. He was a former member of the Cambria Township Board. He enjoyed fishing, planting trees, planting, tending and harvesting his vineyard along with drafting plans for his many projects. He also loved to cook and bake for his family and friends.

Dwile is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Dwile T. Kwasniewski, Jr.; daughter, Sheila Kwasniewski both of Mankato, MN; two step-sons, Roger (Caryl) Yarger and Robert Yarger all of New Ulm, MN; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Monica Kwasniewski Feuerstein of Watertown, SD, and Darlys Kwasniewski of Webster, SD.

Dwile was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher Kwasniewski in 2010; and a stepdaughter, Lezley Yarger in 1994; two brothers, James Kwasniewski and Joseph Kwasniewski.
