Joyce Jones, age 94, of North Mankato died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Jay Dahlvang, officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce was born September 11, 1917 to Bert and Freda (Nelson) Sandvig in Linden Township, Brown County, MN. She attended District #37 School. Joyce was united in marriage to Malvin Jones on September 10, 1937 in Lake Crystal. Joyce was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Ellis (Pat) Jones of Shakopee and Dennis (Annie) Jones of Lake Jackson, TX; three grandchildren, Scott (Diane) Jones of Omaha, NE, Lisa (Craig) Smokstad of Kannapolis, NC, Denielle (Craig) Breimhorst of Shakopee; six great-grandchildren, Kyle and Eric Jones, RaElla Smokstad, Taylor, Andrew, and Kendyl Breimhorst; brother, Arlo (Dorothy) Sandvig of North Mankato; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Malvin in 2001.
