Mamie "Mae" Clara Goutermont, age 95 of Lake Crystal and formerly of Good Thunder, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on April 15, 2012 and died peacefully in her sleep Thursday April 19, 2012 at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday April 28, 2012 at NORTHVIEW " North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at NORTHVIEW. Lunch will follow the service.

Mamie was born January 2, 1917 to Herman and Martha (Stevenson) Heinz in Owatonna, Minnesota. She married Rex Goutermont in Owatonna, MN. Together they owned and operated the Good Thunder Locker. Later she was the school cook at St. John Lutheran School in Good Thunder for 21 years before retiring. Mamie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder.

She enjoyed making teddy bears, quilts and her family.

Mamie is survived by her two children, Wayne (Norita) Goutermont, Sharon (Larry) Jessen; eight grandchildren, Kevin (Darla) Brase, Galen (Donna) Goutermont, Scott (Sherril) Goutermont, Lonie Goutermont, Angela (Bret) Pederson, Steve (Lori) Goutermont, Ronda (David) Brunz, Adam (Amy) Brase; granddaughter-in-law, Alice Brase; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Miexner; other family, Russ Brase; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Rex in 1982 and grandson, Layne in 1998.
