Donna J. Peckman, age 82 of North Branch, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Sweet Living. She previously lived in Wyoming, MN; Balsam Lake, WI; Clearlake, SD; Bloomington, IN; Henderson, NV; Forest Lake, MN; St. Paul, MN; Columbus, OH; and Mankato, MN.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, April 20, 2012 at NORTHVIEW - North Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11am Friday at NORTHVIEW.

Donna was born in Fort Dodge, IA on July 8, 1929 to Clay Henry Fortney SR. (who was born on June 11, 1899 in Fort Dodge, IA; passed away December 23, 1992 in St. Cloud, MN) and Ellen Mae (Oleson) (who was born on July 20 1907 in Duncombe, IA; passed away August 27, 1973).

Donna is survived by her sons, Roy (Mary) Peckman of Centuria, WI; Randolph Peckman of Centuria, WI; daughters, Rebecca (Carl) Riley of Bloomington, MN; Ruth (Max) Hardy of N. Las Vegas, NV; Rhea (Kuhn) of Milltown, WI; Debra (Burgmeier) of Maplewood, MN. She is also survived by a special nephew, Donald (Cara) Freundl SR of Isanti, MN who was more like a son than a nephew to Donna and a sister-in-law, Donna Fortney SR (Richard's wife) of Aurora, CO. Donna was also blessed with 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Martin Peckman (born on June 9, 1926 in St. Paul, MN and passed away on April 26, 1992). They had been married on July 3, 1956 in Columbus, OH; a commitment that lasted 35 years. She was also preceded in death by her second born son, David Henry (born March 29, 1948 and passed away May 13, 1949 in Mankato); her brothers, Harvey Fortney SR of Mankato; Henry Clay Fortney JR of St. Paul; Richard Fortney SR of Aurora, CO and a sister, Oneida Williams of Mankato.
