It is with heartfelt love and honor that we acknowledge the life of Vivian (Hanson) Vander Louw. Viv fought a brief and courageous battle against sarcoma. Her priority in life was always her family. She was a loving wife to Hank, a role model of kindness to her children, a constant support to her siblings, church, extended family and friends.

Viv was born on July 19, 1927 in Lake Crystal to Sarah (Larson) and Ludwig Hanson and was the youngest of eleven children who grew up on the family farm. She attended Lake Crystal public schools and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. She took care of many area infants and toddlers in her home and along with Hank, co-owned the Hub Caf" and parented several foster children.

She will be remembered for her singing, her cooking (there were always cookies available) and her thoughtfulness.

Remaining behind with memories of Viv are her children, Janeen (Ken) Truax, Cheryl Hastings, Doug (Nyla); ten grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; foster son, Bob (Karen) Cornwell; sisters Lillian Peterson and Phyllis Lynch; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
She will be greeted with an abundance of joy into God's kingdom by Hank, Laurie, parents, siblings and friends.

All who knew her loved her. Her life has been a blessing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, MN.
