Yvonne Osborne-Murphy, age 63 of Mankato, formerly of Walker, MN passed away peacefully Saturday, August 04, 2012 at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Log Chapel in Boy River, MN.
Yvonne was born October 15, 1948 to Benjamin and Ardis Anne (Carlson) Wolske in Cass Lake, MN. She graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1966. Many things in life gave Yvonne joy. Among them were reading, music and watching football. Yvonne loved the outdoors and especially the snow, cold weather, and fishing. For her, there was nothing better than enjoying the view of a full moon on a clear winter's night. Her family meant a great deal to her and no trip to her home was complete without seeing the many pictures of them on display or hearing a warm story of remembrance from days gone by. Yvonne was filled with a gentle kindness that taught many of us the same through both her words and her actions. Although Yvonne may no longer be with us in this physical world, she will live on forever with us in our hearts.
Yvonne is survived by her husband, Jim "Murph" Murphy of Mankato; children: Robert Osborne of Mankato, MN, Jason (Nicole) Osborne of Ridgecrest, CA, James (Kris) Murphy Jr. of Sebeka, MN, ShaunA' Schroeder of Chester, IA, Mike Murphy of Dodge, MN, and special friends: Arnie and Kathy Hamilton of Nampa, ID and Cara Nordquist of Perham, MN. She has been blessed with 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; five siblings: Alice Moats of Champlin, MN, Benjamin (Theresa) Wolske, Jr. of Waseca, MN, Marla (Dave) Harmon of Great Falls, MT, Carol (Larry) Kloehn of Boy River, MN, Debra (Nick) Hanner of Newport, MN, Wendy (Chuck) Schmidt of Richardson, ND; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Ardis Wolske; son, Jeffery Clayton Lee Murphy; and sister, Diane Olson.
Yvonne would like to recognize Duane Zylka, Jeff Zylka, Darrell Moats, Jamie Olson, Jaime Freerksen, Gail Paulson, and Arnie Hamilton as Honorary Pallbearers.
Thank you for the memories, without them I do not know who I would be because somewhere among these memories are the things that define me.
