William "Bill" Edward Quinn, age 50, of Mankato, died Thursday, August 2, 2012, at the Lutheran Home-Cedar Haven, Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Charlie Quinn, Rev. John Kunz, and Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madelia. Arrangements are being handled by Mankato Mortuary. Bill was born May 14, 1962, in Madelia, to Thomas J. Quinn and Jane M. (Osborne) Quinn. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Madelia High School. Bill continued his education at University of Minnesota, Waseca.
He had a love for golf and downhill skiing. He also enjoyed attending the MoonDogs, Minnesota State University Mankato athletics, and watching college football and hockey. Bill worked for Hy-Vee in Mankato for more than 25 years.
Bill is survived by his parents, Thomas and Jane Quinn of Mankato; four sisters, their spouses and children: Margaret (Dr. Timothy) Flor of Waseca and children, Katie, Meghan, Patrick, and Hannah; Nancy (Roman) Kozak of Edina and children, Anna and Lydia; Patricia (Marc) Wertwijn of Edina and children, Caitlin, Brooke, and Tommy; and Mollie (David) Harig of Carver and children, Isabelle, George, and Lillie; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
