Meris Jeanne Deuser, age 77, of Mankato, died on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Central Health Care in Le Center, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Meris was born on May 30, 1935 in Mankato, the oldest daughter of Jim and Catherine Deuser. An excellent student, Meris graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1953 and from Mankato State College Nursing School. Meris loved to knit, crochet, and cross stitch. Her beautiful bedspreads, doilies, dishcloths, dish towels, and pillow cases decorate the homes of many of her family members.

She is survived by three brothers, Jerry (Lois) of Sacramento, CA, John of Mankato, and Richard (Suzie) of Wasilla, AK; three sisters, Jeanette Winiarski of Mankato, Carol Rollins (Rich) of Shoreview, MN, and Patricia Kosbab (Peter) of Monroe, MI; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Charles Winiarski; sister-in-law, Sandra Deuser; two nephews, Paul Winiarski and Teal Deuser.
