Marilyn June Thurston, age 87, of North Mankato, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before service at Northview on Monday. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery, rural Judson, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.

Marilyn was born July 13, 1924 to Carl E. and Stella G. (Berdell) Olson in Mankato. She was united in marriage to John P. Juberian and later Carroll H. Thurston. Marilyn was an avid gardener and homemaker prior to her career as a realtor, eventually working for Thurston Land Company. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, sewing and crafts.

Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Kramer of Gardners, PA and Kristine Anderson of Judson; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Pope of Corinth, TX and Marie Mullin of Mankato; one brother, Robert Olson of Mankato; several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carroll.
