Virginia M. Poulson, age 88, of Lake Crystal, died Monday, July 2, 2012 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before service at church on Thursday. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia was born March 4, 1924 to Richard and Alvera (Dryer) Hengel in Palo Alto County, Iowa. She graduated in 1942 from high school in Cylinder, IA and then attended American Institute of Business, Des Moines, IA. Virginia was employed by Deep Rock Oil Co. until her marriage to Lyle C. Poulson on May 10, 1946 in Des Moines, IA. They moved to Lake Crystal until 1967 when they moved to Apache Junction, AZ. They returned to Minnesota in 1980 and then to Lake Crystal in 1987. Virginia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by three children, Steven (Karen) Poulson of New Ulm, Michael Poulson of the Philippine Islands, and William Poulson of Cedar Rapids, IA; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marion Templeton of Napa, CA, Betty (Ron) Boeck of Blue Earth, Karen Nibbe of Vernon Center; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Virginia was preceded in death by parents; husband, Lyle on August 29, 1987; daughter, Linda (Danny) Huckey; sister, Marlys (Durwood) Voight; brother-in-law, Mervin Nibbe.
