David Harold Brenner, age 71, of Mankato, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Wayne Eichstadt officiating. Interment will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

David was born on June 17, 1941, in Mankato to Harold and Odella (Lubke) Brenner. He was a graduate of Mankato High School and attended technical school in Mankato. David was united in marriage to Jeanette Seys on June 15, 1974, in Mankato. He was employed with Midwest Electric for 40 years. David was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato and the Pioneer Power Association. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. David enjoyed antique tractors, being outdoors, wildlife, and working on small projects at home.

David is survived by his three children, Jennifer Brenner of Mankato, Timothy Brenner and his fianc", Mackenzie Mueller of Lake Crystal, and Joshua Brenner of Mankato; brother, Dale Brenner of Mankato; and also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanette in 2006; and a nephew, Michael.
