Debra R. Johnson, age 56, of Mankato, died peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Dennis Heiden officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Debra was born on May 18, 1955 in St. Peter to Norman and Marjorie (Kilbride) Heise. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1973. She married Jan Douglas Warling, that marriage was blessed with two children, Melissa and Bryan. They later divorced. On April 10, 1999 Debra was united in marriage to her best friend and sweetie, Brad Johnson in Las Vegas, NV. She worked at Dunham Express and Carlson Craft for many years. Debra enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, dancing, painting, camping, laughing, her faith in God, walking on the beach, and music. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Debra is survived by her husband, Brad L. Johnson of Mankato; daughter, Melissa (Tim) Malone of Rochester; son, Bryan Warling of Mankato; step-grandson, Nathan Malone; mother, Marjorie Heise of Mankato; four sisters, Linda (Bruce) Orth of Madison Lake, Susan Heise of Mankato, Catherine (Joe) Wittrock of Mapleton, and Sherry (Jerome) Thul of North Mankato; brother, Curtis Heise of Milwaukee, WI; mother-in-law, Vangie (Hal) Johnson of St. Peter; father-in-law, Dayle Johnson of Watertown, SD; special friend, Lois Barrett; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and nephew, David Orth.
