Katherine Elizabeth was born October 18, 1919 to Grover and Anna (Miller) Fuller in Mankato. As a member of 4-H for many years, Katherine won many ribbons for her baking, sewing and showing sheep. After graduating from Mankato High School, she worked at the Consolidated Air Craft Corporation in San Diego, CA. Katherine built B24 four engine bombers during World War II. On September 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lyle Pearson in San Diego. They were blessed with seven children. After the war, they settled back in North Mankato. In the community, she has been a 4-H Club leader, Cub Scout den mother, Blue Birds, PTA, Home School Association, Room Mother, Social Concerns Committee in her church parish, and block worker for community and church projects. Not only did she serve her community, but also volunteered for 51 years with Lyle for the St. Peter State Hospital. Katherine was a past National Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary from 1987 to 1988 where her and Lyle were able to travel all over the country. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing solitaire, and puzzles. Katherine was a great seamstress who could sew anything without using a pattern. She also was a remarkable baker who could make the best apple pies! Katherine was a thoughtful, caring mother and grandmother who would bake for her family knowing they were sure to come over and enjoy their time together. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Katherine is survived by her husband, Lyle of North Mankato; her seven children: Colleen Bianchi of North Mankato, Lyle Pearson, Jr. of North Mankato, Rosemary (Ron) Roxbury of Milwaukee, WI, Lloyd (Tyllene) Pearson of North Mankato, Ann (Mark) Holden of Eagle Bend, Gail (Bob) Nolte of Mesa, AZ, and Kurt (Penny) Pearson of North Mankato; grandchildren: Jolleen (Tim) Rupert, Joann Bianchi, Cathy (special friend, Kent) Bianchi, Chad (Cindy) Columbari, Brent (Stacy) Pearson, Jesse Pearson, Dylan Pearson, Jenna Nolte, Dustin (fianc" Melissa) Pearson, Kurette Pearson, and Kyley Pearson; four great-grandchildren: Cecilia and Camilo Columbari, Sydney and Evan Pearson; and sister, Patty Fuller.
