Marjorie Nelson, age 64, of Mankato, died Saturday, January 7, 2012 at her home.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN 56001. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Northview - North Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Marjorie was born December 23, 1947 to William J. and Nancy C. (Dodge) Gibbs in Indianapolis, IN. She was united in marriage to John Nelson at the First Presbyterian Church in Mankato on July 26, 1974. Marjorie worked for Carlson Craft for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading books, crafts, interior decorating, and being on the computer.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, John Nelson of Mankato; daughter, Sally Nelson of London, England; aunt and uncle, Bill and Sally Reese of Rochester; brother and sisters, Bill J. Gibbs Jr. of Colorado; Jody Seibold of IL; Mary DeRemer of IN and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Gibbs.
