James Moore, age 38, of Mankato, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at his home in Mankato.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Mankato, with Rev. David Banfield officiating. A memorial scholarship fund will be set up in Jim's name. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
James Oren Moore was born September 21, 1973 in Hibbing, MN to Frank and Darla (Willmarth) Moore. He graduated from Nashwauk-Keewatin High School, and later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Mankato State University. Jim worked for the American Red Cross as a Mobile Support Coordinator for over nine years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he played in the church band. Jim loved photography, traveling, sailing, music, skiing, and motorcycle riding. He was an adventurous spirit, and enjoyed new experiences and living life to the fullest.
James is survived by his mother, Darla Moore of Keewatin, MN; sister, Susan Moore of Mesa, AZ; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his father, Frank in July of 2011; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
