Steve Kent Mether, age 61, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at his sister's home in Minneapolis, where he currently resided.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato with Rev. David Laughlin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Steve was born May 25, 1950 to Maurice and DeLoris (Eilers) Mether in Canby, MN. He resided most of his adult life in Mankato until moving to Minneapolis to live with his sister.

Steve is survived by his father, Maurice Mether of Minneapolis, formerly of Mankato; brother, Dan (Lill) Mether of North Mankato; sister, Becky (Clark) Worden of Minneapolis; nieces and nephews, Melissa (Dean) Olson of Mankato; Julia (Jason) Allen of Chesapeake, VA; Nate Worden of Hopkins; Lyndsey Worden of St. Louis Park; great nieces and nephews, Tyler, Cody and Erin Olson; Danny, McKenna Allen; Brady Worden; Jacob, Alisha Stiele.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, DeLoris Mether and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
