Marjorie E. Krautkremer, age 93, of Mankato, died on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Pathstone Living.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28 from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Pathstone Living or the Andreas Cancer Center at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
Marjorie was born on October 22, 1918 in Northfield, MN to William and Ruth (Nichols) Bickel. She graduated from Northfield High School and from Mankato Commercial College. Marjorie was united in marriage to Jake Krautkremer on August 8, 1939. She worked at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in the Medical Records Department for 25 years. She was a longtime member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially baking and cooking for them. She also enjoyed sewing, writing, and gardening.
She is survived by her children, William (Betty) Krautkremer of Ocala, FL, Jean (Tom) French of Rosemount, MN, and Phil (Burni) Krautkremer of Mankato; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Ernie Rottunda of Granite Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jake, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
