Mary I Timm

Mary I. Timm, age 92, of St. Peter, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter following a short illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Wayne Eichstadt officiating. Burial will be held in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran School Endowment Fund, or to the donor's choice.

Mary was born on April 3, 1917 in Kasota. She was the daughter of Charles and Ida (Seabile) Meyers. Mary was a 1935 graduate of Kasota High School. She was united in marriage to Herbert Timm on April 5, 1941 in Mankato. Mary was employed with ADC for 12 years and was the manager of Sunnyvale Apartments for 29 years. She also assisted Herbert with their farm near Mankato until his death in 1974. Mary was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed reading, crafts, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Robert (Marilyn) Timm of Mankato and Wayne (Rosie) Timm of rural Kasota; two daughters, Barbara (Rev. Daniel) Fleischer of Corpus Christie, TX and Mary Kay Mackey of Mankato; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mabel Meyers of St. Peter; one brother-in-law, Armand Timm of rural Kasota; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; three brothers; one sister; and one son-in-law, Joseph Mackey.
