Joel R. Reinbold, age 29, of Mankato died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato from complications of pneumonia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato with Rev. Tim Biren officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Vision Loss Resources, American Cancer Society, or the donor's choice.
Joel was born on June 28, 1980 to Jerry and Judy (Frost) Reinbold in Mankato. He graduated from Loyola Catholic School in 1998. He attended South Central College where he earned a degree in Automotive Technology. He also attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College and earned an Associate of Arts degree. Joel was also a graduate of Vision Loss Resources in Minneapolis. Joel had been employed by Autotronics and Mankato Oil and Tire. Joel enjoyed listening to sports on television, NASCAR racing, and Twins baseball. He enjoyed music and going to concerts. He played various instruments including the guitar, drums, and saxophone.
Joe was an amazing person who loved his family and friends. He always had a smile and the ultimate attitude. The big guy up above had bigger and better plans for him. Joe had a heart of gold. He always held his head high and was optimistic despite the challenges he faced. He was the greatest guy we've ever met. He'll be deeply missed by all.
Joe is survived by his parents, Jerry and Judy Reinbold; brother, Bill Reinbold; sister, Christine Reinbold; grandmother, Ethel Frost; uncles, Jim Frost, Larry Reinbold, Rick (Jerri) Reinbold, and Steve (Tami) Reinbold; aunts, Rita (Jim) LaVoi, and Lori (Mark) Kopischke; cousins, Teri and Kristen Frost-Tibben and their son, Nathan, Shelly and Eric Mayo and their son, Jonathan, Stacy Sexton, Amy Sexton, Trisa and Nick Hoffman and their children, Braydon and Kendyl, Coty Kopischke, Missy Reinbold and her children, Bianka and Kaitlyn, Bob Reinbold, Travis Volk, Becky and Jonathan Reinbold.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Frost; grandparents, Bob and Marge Reinbold; and aunt, Sue Armstrong.
