Neoma Lischefska, age 93, of Mankato, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. John Michel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato.

Neoma Ruth Lischefska was born September 14, 1918 to Swen and Nina (Sutherland) Nelson in Douglas County, near Alexandria, Minnesota. She grew up in the Lake Crystal area. She married Robert Lischefska on November 12, 1948 in Mankato. She was employed with Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital as a volunteer service director, and was also Librarian at Gus Johnson Plaza.

Neoma is survived by son, John (Eileen) Lischefska of Marietta, GA; daughter, Kristine Nelson of Ft. Meyers, FL; grandson, Michael Coates of Stanchfield, MN; great-grandchildren, Nika Coates of Stanchfield, MN and Tasha Coates of Tucson, AZ; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1993; four sisters; one step-sister.
