Mabel E Preuss

Mabel E. Preuss, age 89, of Mankato, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Entombment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary followed by procession to the church for the service. Memorials may be given to donor's choice.

Mabel was born December 3, 1918 in Blomkest to Frank and Magdalena (Plageman) Becker. Mabel was a graduate of Danube High School. She was united in marriage to Erwin Preuss on October 10, 1948 in Mankato. Mabel was a homemaker and also was employed in cleaning other peoples' homes. Mabel was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling, and going out for coffee with friends.

Mabel is survived by her husband, Erwin of Mankato; brother, Ervin Becker of Tustin, CA; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Matzke and Raymond Ulrich both of Mankato; sister-in-law, Loretta Becker of Olivia; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Irene Becker and Alice Jesse; two brothers, Harland and Leonard Becker.
