Lorraine M. Johnson, age 76 of North Mankato, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Orlin Mandsager officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
Lorraine was born February 21, 1933 to Clarence and Mabel (Brown) Mann in Mankato. She graduated in 1950 from Lincoln High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Stanley Johnson on December 14, 1963 at Christ Chapel in St. Peter. She worked as a secretary for Brown and Biglow and also farmed with her husband Stanley.
Lorraine was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed, music, farming, reading, crafts, Twins baseball, and traveling, especially her trips to Sweden. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by her brother, Howard of North Mankato; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Mann of St. Peter; Lorene Mann of St. Peter; aunt, Ellen Brown of St. Peter; nieces, nephews, and cousins; dear friend, Tom Goettlicher; family friend, Aline Mann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley on January 31, 2005; two brothers, Paul and Lloyd Mann; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marlin and Bonnie Johnson; sister-in-law, Elaine Mann; nephew, Terry Mann.
