Charles P Phelps

Charles Phillip Phelps, age 51, of rural Good Thunder, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Jackson Lake Lutheran Church in Amboy. Rev. Todd Substad will be officiating. Burial will be in Barnard's Valley View Cemetery, rural Good Thunder. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Charles was born April 11, 1958 in Mankato to William "Bill" and Alice (Isberg) Phelps. He graduated from Amboy High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to Kirsten Doss on January 10, 1981 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Good Thunder. He was self employed as a dairy farmer. Charles was a member of Jackson Lake Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being on the farm, hunting, fishing, and gardening. But most of all being with his family.

Charles is survived by his wife, Kirsten; three children, Samuel Phelps, Mathias (Jessica) Phelps, and Grace (Eric) Fjeldberg; five siblings, Karen (Ken) Bunde, Diane (Charly) Roelofs, Donna Kline, Bill (Sara) Phelps, and Janet Phelps; many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
