Margaret A Keller

Margaret A. Keller, age 93 of Mankato and formerly of St. Peter, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Mankato House in Mankato with her family by her side. Margaret was born on August 30, 1916 in St. Peter to Albert and Margaret (Thauwald) Dick. She is a 1934 of St. Peter High School and also graduated from the Swedish School of Nursing in the Twin Cities. She was employed as a nurse at Immanuel Hospital in Mankato for many years, the State Hospital in St. Peter and at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Mankato. Margaret married Raymond Laraway and two children were born to them; Judy and Bill. In September of 1969, she married Rogenald Keller. They made their home on Lake Minnetonka, and later moved to St. Peter. Margaret enjoyed playing bridge, antiquing, gardening, doing needlework, and spending time with her family, especially having picnics.

Margaret is survived by her husband Rogenald of St. Peter; daughter Judith Fitzke of Le Sueur; grandchildren: Sherry (John) Coleman, Tom (Dawn) Fitzke, and Peter (Jamie) Fitzke; five great-grandchildren: Ashley, Aaron, Amanda, Andrew and Trey; three step-daughters: Sharon McCauley, Sandra Fowler and Janice (Craig) Linsley; numerous step-grandchildren and step- great grandchildren; a niece, 2 nephews and a sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Bill; and brothers: Phillip and Russell.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Church of the Holy Communion Episcopal in St. Peter with Rev. Thomas Harries officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
