AnnaBelle Marie Hinkle, age 81 of Mankato, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at her home following a two year illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2009 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Hottinger, S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice or the ALS Association.
AnnaBelle was born on December 31, 1927 in Mankato to William and Marie (Scheurer) Sturm. She attended Mankato Loyola High School, graduating in 1946. She was united in marriage to Clarence A. "Coke" Hinkle on December 28, 1946 in Mankato. AnnaBelle was a homemaker and also worked out of her home as a seamstress. She was an active member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army and MRCI Thrift Stores. AnnaBelle enjoyed golfing, bowling, country music and concerts, going to movies and furniture restoration.
She is survived by two sons, Craig "Buzz" (Lolly) Hinkle of North Mankato and Todd (Mary) Hinkle of North Mankato; three daughters, Nancy (Pat) Hopkins of North Mankato, Karen (Dan) Heaton of Naples, ID, and Diane (Marty) Thompson of North Mankato; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Josee) Sturm of Mankato; three sisters, Mary Ann Lurth of St. Peter, Leola Johnson of Mason City, IA, and Peggy (Gene) Fallenstein of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Vic Biedscheid of Mankato; and special caregiver, Tina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in 1996; and son, Scott.
