Walter F Miller

Walter Frederick Miller, age 78 of Good Thunder, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato .

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. , Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Barnard's Valley View Cemetery . Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to the Nephrology Department (Kidney Care, Dialysis) at ISJ Hospital or to an organization of the Donor's Choice.

Walter was born on January 31, 1931 in Lyra Township , Blue Earth County to William and Emma (Barriess) Miller. He attended District 126 country school and then went on to attend school in Good Thunder. He lived on the family farm in Lyra Township , where he did tile work and farmed. Walter enjoyed traveling and woodworking. Walter loved talking to people and was known as a great story teller.

He is survived by a sister, Emma Speck of Good Thunder; brother, Herman Miller and his wife Grace of Waldorf; 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two nephews.
